You cannot understand January 6 without understanding the 2020 election.
Viewed simply in isolation, it doesn’t really make sense.
The question you have to come to terms with is “was the 2020 election stolen or not?”.
It should go without saying that this question should be answered honestly whether you voted for Trump or not.
We can agree that all elections have some funny business going on in them, the question here is a matter of degree.
Here are two questions:
Was the scale of the illegal interference large enough to prevent a clear win for Trump?
Is there an innocent, logical and legal explanation for the suspension of vote counting on the night of the election in several key States, with a hockey stick change in the graph of the vote tally in the following days?
If your answer to these questions is No and Yes, then you would conclude that the reason people turned up to protest the election loss is that “they have fallen prey to misinformation and conspiracy theories.” That they had been manipulated and that you can discount their emotion as unjustified.
If on the other hand you answer the above questions as Yes and No, then you see the crowd as justified in their anger over a genuinely stolen election.
The problem is, it’s very hard for most people to answer those questions. Accurate information about what happened was very hard to come by just after the election. You had to really work hard to find it, ensure it was credible and consume it.
But if you did, as I did at the time, you would reasonably reach the conclusion that there was a very sophisticated and coordinated flip of the election.
You can come up to speed on what happened here in any of these books:

[Note: If anyone knows of even better, well researched, books or material on the subject, please let me know, as I will likely write about it one day.]
Anyway, this stack isn’t about the 2020 election, it’s about what happened on January 6.
I have paid hardly any attention to Jan 6 issues over the last 3 years. Coming to terms with studying the stolen election was exhausting and I lost interest in Jan 6.
But I had no doubt that whatever was being said in the mainstream about it would be distortions and untruths. I didn’t need to allocate any effort to reach that conclusion.
If you can steal a US election in broad daylight…
If you can have 1m people march in London during lockdowns without the BBC reporting on it…
If you can live in Melbourne and not know that rubber bullets were fired at peaceful protesters in Melbourne because the media didn’t report on it (as was the case when I discussed the rubber bullets with a work contact who lived in Melbourne who had no idea what I was talking about)…
Then you know that the media, local and global media, lies and they lie ALL THE TIME about anything of significance.
But this new documentary just came out about January 6, and I thought OK, let’s invest an hour and see what actually happened…it’s worth your time especially if you think the mainstream narrative on January 6 is true or mostly true.
It’s very hard for most to conceive and believe that the government is willing and able to create False Flags.
But Empire requires narratives.
False Flags are necessary ingredients of narratives.
January 6 was a surprisingly easy, and “cheap”, narrative created to usher in more central control and marginalization of the growing dissident population.
Empire weaponized the public’s grieving over the theft of their vote.
Anyway, you can reach your own conclusions on what you think happened on January 6 by watching the documentary and reading the couple of summarized chapters from Julie Kelly’s book.
It’s another big lie of our times, so I thought it apt to create a stack for it and give this subject some increased reach.

CHAPTER TWO: THE MYTH OF AN ARMED INSURRECTION
Comprehensive Summary:
The Myth of an Armed Insurrection
The events at the Capitol on January 6th were immediately labeled an "insurrection" by politicians and the media. Terms like "violent insurrectionists" and "armed coup" were used frequently.
However, there is little evidence to support the claim that it was an organized attempt to overthrow the government. Very few people were found to be carrying firearms, and most face minor charges like trespassing.
The response from authorities and big tech companies was swift and severe, treating it as a deadly terror attack. But polls show many Americans believe the rhetoric did not match the reality.
Questionable Use of the Term "Insurrection"
By definition, an insurrection involves a coordinated, armed effort to subvert or overthrow a government. The protest on January 6th does not appear to meet the criteria.
Trump's legal team failed to provide convincing evidence of election fraud in court, leading supporters to believe a conspiracy was taking place to silence dissent.
Still, storming the Capitol was unacceptable. Those who broke laws should face consequences. But calling it an "insurrection" appears to be political rhetoric rather than factual.
The Myth of an Armed Attack
Claims that protesters brought loads of firearms to the Capitol do not match the charges brought so far. Out of hundreds arrested, none have been accused of bringing guns inside.
A few people near the protest did have guns in their vehicles. But there is no evidence those individuals tried to enter the Capitol with firearms.
By contrast, the violent protests of 2020 frequently involved deadly weapons used to attack police and private citizens over weeks of destruction. But those events were not labeled an "insurrection."
Dubious Felony Charges
Most defendants face minor charges like trespassing and disorderly conduct. But prosecutors are accusing many of "felony obstruction," which seems like a legal stretch.
The law is meant to address obstructing congressional inquiries, not certification of electoral votes. There is concern about a "constitutional vagueness problem."
Plea deals have been offered on these questionable charges, even as authorities insist they will "prosecute fully." Again, a mismatch between rhetoric and reality.
Key Takeaways:
The protest at the Capitol on January 6th 2021 was immediately and universally labeled an "armed insurrection" by the media and politicians in power.
However, evidence does not support the claim that it was a coordinated, armed attempt to overthrow the government. Lack of serious charges filed so far undermines the rhetoric.
The response from big tech, media, and the new administration treated it as equivalent to the worst terror attacks in American history, shocking many.
While Trump and his supporters deserve fault for reckless allegations of election fraud, calls to protest, and law-breaking that occurred, the reaction appears to be an attempt to silence dissent.
Few firearms were found or carried into the Capitol, contrasting with consistent claims of armed insurrectionists storming the building to take hostages.
Most defendants face minor charges like trespassing; felony accusations seem legally questionable, aimed at securing harsh plea deals rather than reflecting facts.
Violent riots throughout 2020 frequently involved deadly weapons but were not labeled an insurrection by the media or politicians now claiming righteous indignation.
Americans perceive a politicized double standard regarding condemnation and treatment of those involved, damaging faith in equal justice regardless of political views.
Key legal terms like "sedition" have lost meaning, as authorities first claimed to be building massive sedition cases but failed to follow through with any charges.
Cries of armed insurrection again ring false and appear to be attempts to tie conservative dissent with violent extremism in the minds of average Americans.
Inflammatory rhetoric about the protest create a permission structure for suppression of speech and political persecution without evidence to justify such authoritarian acts.
Faith in media and the Justice Department is eroded when dire warnings of domestic terrorism and sprawling conspiracies give way to lackluster process crimes against citizens.
The Capitol breach can serve as common ground to call for accountability and commitment to free speech for all Americans, but that opportunity is being squandered by weaponizing division.
Americans have a right to peaceful protest regardless of political affiliation; violence and lawlessness from any ideological group should be denounced and prosecuted.
Weaponizing trauma against fellow citizens and purging dissent damages efforts to heal societal divisions through open and honest debate in the pursuit of truth.
Partisans who immediately leverage crisis events reinforce suspicions of coordinated astroturf campaigns that undermine legitimacy on all sides of issues.
The rush to judgment without waiting for facts, evidence, or due process raises concerns about good faith efforts to uphold civil liberties protections for those with opposing views.
Exploiting fear and using the force of government to punish opponents risks further destabilizing effects that degrade, rather than strengthen, democratic institutions.
crafting explosive narratives before investigations conclude fans flames that encourage society to discard presumption of innocence and cloaks power grabs as moral necessity.
With faith in leadership rapidly eroding, avoiding further damage means focusing on facts, taking claims of victimhood with skepticism, and working to deescalate tensions through consistent application of American ideals.
Excerpts:
"[T]he President of the United States incited an armed insurrection against America, the gleeful desecration of the US Capitol, which is the temple of our American democracy, and the violence targeting Congress are horrors that will forever stay in our nation’s history, instigated by the President of the United States.”
“[T]his is an insurrection, incited by the President of the United States...They’re attacking the building that represents our democracy and threatening those who work in it. History will remember this dark day as a seditious attack by Americans against America.”
“[A]ttempted coup by armed Trump supporters at his encouragement...Today marks a sad and shameful chapter in our nation’s history. Those responsible for this insurrection should be held to account”
"We are coming with our list we know where you live we know who you are and we are coming for you and it starts on the 6th civil war...Lol if you will think it’s a joke...Enjoy your last few days you have"
"The cabinet should meet and have a discussion, I don’t think it will happen but the cabinet should meet and discuss this because the behavior yesterday and the weeks and months before that has just been outrageous from the president."
"When the president of the United States encourages the people to interrupt a constitutional process and violently have an insurrection against the government of the United States, nothing is off the table.”
"Provoked and incited by President Trump, who told them to ‘fight like hell,’ hundreds of insurrectionists arrived at the Capitol and launched an assault on the building—a seditious, deadly attack against the Legislative Branch and the Vice President without parallel in American history”
“I can tell you that I had a very close encounter where I thought I was going to die...I did not know if I was going to make it to the end of that day alive.”
“This little piece of s--- with his @Yale law degree should be run out of DC and Disbarred ASAP.”
"the President bears responsibility for Wednesday’s attack on Congress by mob rioters”
Statistics:
Nearly 9 million viewers tuned into CNN's coverage on January 6th 2021, a record.
65% of Americans in a February 2021 poll believed Capitol protestors would be fully prosecuted.
58% agreed the Capitol riot was being used to silence conservatives.
Only 33% of Republicans called it an insurrection in a June 2021 poll.
At least a dozen people were killed in the 2020 summer protests.
63% of police departments reported fireworks used against officers in the 2020 riots.
51% of police faced firearms from protesters in 2020.
Around 25,000 National Guardsmen were in Washington D.C. for the inauguration in 2021.
0 people have been charged with insurrection or sedition for the events of January 6th as of October 2021.
The word "insurrection" was used over 60 times in Trump's second impeachment memo.
Here is the breakdown of weapons-related charges as of October 1. (Some defendants were charged with possessing more than one weapon and some were used by different people, such as the crutch and the axe.)
· Poles or flagpoles: 15 charges
· Chemical spray: 12 charges
· Batons: 9 charges
· Sticks: 5 charges
· Pocket knife/knife: 5 charges
· Baseball bats: 4 charges
· Fire extinguisher: 4 charges
· Crutch: 4 charges
· Temporary police barrier: 2 charges
· Metal sign; 2 charges
· Taser: 2 charges
· Tomahawk axe: 2 charges
· Stun gun/walking stick: 1 charge
· Tabletop: 1 charge
· Police helmet: 1 charge
· Firecracker: 1 charge
· Hockey stick: 1 charge
· Ice pick: 1 charge
· Firecracker: 1 charge
· Crowbar: 1 charge
· Skateboard: 1 charge
Clearly, attacking police using dangerous weapons cannot be tolerated for any reason. But since when is a skateboard or a crutch legally considered a “deadly or dangerous” weapon? (Ironically, in the November 2021 trial of Kyle Rittenhouse, government prosecutors mocked the idea that a skateboard could be considered a deadly weapon after a Kenosha rioter used it to attack the Illinois teenager.)
CHAPTER EIGHT: WHAT WAS THE ROLE OF THE FBI?
Comprehensive Summary:
The Whitmer Kidnapping Plot
In October 2020, 13 men were arrested for allegedly plotting to kidnap Michigan Governor Gretchen Whitmer.
The case drew comparisons to January 6th, with Biden accusing Trump of inciting violence.
But as the trial approached in 2021, revelations showed the FBI played a central role in organizing key parts of the plot.
Most of the militia group were brought together by FBI informants and agents. The FBI funded training exercises and pushed members to more extreme plans.
This raised concerns of entrapment and questions if the FBI uses similar tactics in other domestic terror cases like January 6.
Capitol Breach Investigation Tactics
The FBI response to finding January 6 protesters has been excessively aggressive, traumatizing families.
Hundreds have been subjected to early morning raids by armed SWAT teams for non-violent offenses.
In many cases, minor charges like trespassing have been filed. But the FBI treats them as dangerous criminals.
The extreme tactics appear intended to intimidate and humiliate, deterring future dissent.
Questionable Investigative Practices
Despite claims of sedition and insurrection, no related charges have been filed 10 months later. Inconsistencies undermine the rhetoric.
FBI informants and provocateurs were embedded in militia groups like the Oath Keepers on January 6. Their leaders remain uncharged for unclear reasons.
Leaked news reports reveal federal assets had central involvement in encouraging illegal plans and actions by protesters.
Yet supposed key figures urging violence on camera remain free while non-violent trespassers face solitary confinement.
Privacy Rights Violations
Cell providers freely shared private user data with the FBI without any pushback to protect civil liberties.
Geofence warrants swept up location info on countless non-suspects who were simply near the Capitol that day.
The desire to be on the “right side” against “insurrectionists” has overwhelmed reasonable restraints to prevent abuse.
Key Takeaways:
The FBI played an active role in encouraging, organizing and funding the alleged plot to kidnap Michigan’s governor, raising questions of entrapment.
Similar concerns exist regarding the FBI’s handling of militia groups involved with January 6 Capitol breach based on informants central to plans.
Non-violent defendants face excessive charges as federal prosecutors overstate complexity of cases involving straightforward trespassing.
Punitive early morning raids involving SWAT teams humiliate families over minor offenses to send political messages.
Despite continually alleging the event meets legal definitions of an insurrection, no related charges have been filed against any defendants after nearly a year.
Inflammatory rhetoric branding protesters “terrorists” aimed more at intimidating dissenters than reflecting reality of mostly misdemeanor cases.
High-profile figures urging protesters to violence on camera faced no consequences while nonviolent trespassers languish in indefinite solitary pre-trial detention.
Questionable investigative tactics erode confidence the government properly balancing civil liberties and national security rather than pursuing political interests.
Constitutional rights to privacy and presumption of innocence are casually discarded under the guise of opposing “insurrectionists” with insufficient oversight.
The Justice Department’s expansion of definitions related to obstruction and terrorism threaten to criminalize previously protected political speech and assembly.
Government informants infiltrating dissident groups and encouraging illegal behavior for the purpose of arrest sets up thought crimes rather than preventing violence.
Weaponized courts and law enforcement treat political dissent as incipient domestic terrorism contrary to free speech protections regardless of objectionable views.
Punitive prosecution and judgement of entire sociopolitical movements for actions of a few undermines justice, further divides citizens, and weakens democracy.
Nonviolent civil disobedience plays vital role in democratic discourse; government provoking citizens into criminality to manipulate public perception of protests should disturb all Americans.
Attempting to deter future activism by terrorizing dissenters and their families into silence risks instilling regime mentality rather than fidelity to Constitutional principles.
Exploiting understandable public outrage about chaotic protest by falsely portraying it as deadly insurrection makes dissent itself seem socially unacceptable regardless of legality.
Deploying incendiary rhetoric and heavy-handed tactics fans partisan flames, further erodes institutional credibility, and excuses government overreach.
The appropriate response to unauthorized protests is de-escalation, calls for unity and faith in rule of law - not recrimination, retribution and restrictions on liberty.
Americans losing faith in equal justice, seeing political and class bias in law enforcement, threatens stability by delegitimizing legal institutions meant to resolve disputes peacefully.
Using security apparatus to harass and intimidate regime critics rather than protect rights jeopardizes legitimacy of government by ruling through fear not consent.
Excerpts:
"There is a through line from President Trump’s dog whistles and tolerance of hate, vengeance, and lawlessness to plots such as this one...The blood spilled today is on your hands.”
“I can tell you that I had a very close encounter where I thought I was going to die...I did not know if I was going to make it to the end of that day alive.”
“The mission is to kill the governor specifically...tell [him] how to build an explosive device, an approach similar to the one used in the Whitmer scheme.”
“Impola is telling his F.B.I. paid informant to lie and implicate someone else as a federal agent...This behavior . . . casts a dark shadow over the credibility of this investigation.”
“Just because you’ve left the D.C. region, you can still expect a knock on the door if we find out that you were part of criminal activity inside the Capitol."
“I opened the door and there’s about 10 tactical police soldiers and one is pointing a rifle at my head...[They had] a battering ram and a crowbar.”
“I could hear Paul laughing in the other room...I could be charged with perjury or obstruction if I didn’t provide the correct answers."
“Someone was shouting Tom’s name...I had these red laser dots all over me, Tom was afraid they were going to shoot me.”
“No one wants to be on the wrong side of the insurrection...This is now the scene of the crime.”
“The desire to be on the “right side” against “insurrectionists” has overwhelmed reasonable restraints to prevent abuse."

The other day I turned on a free movie app that was running Fahrenheit 9/11 (2004).
Long story short - the first 15 minutes was like listening to a recap of the 2020 election, protests, etc, only with everything (Dems/Reps) flipped.
This is NOT a battle between democrats & republicans. It's the deep state (and their propaganda/kool-aid) against pretty much everyone else ...
“Trump's legal team failed to provide convincing evidence of election fraud in court”
I don’t believe the actual evidence was ever tested in court. The courts sidestepped the issue on various dubious grounds.
