On Considering "Bekoming" a Paid Subscriber

This is a community announcement to do four things:

• Launch the new Unbekoming Interview Library

• Launch the new Unbekoming Book Summary Library

• Talk about upgrading to a Paid Subscription (the one, maybe twice, a year rattling of the can)

• Conduct the 2024 Survey

At the end of 2023 I wrote this review of the year.

To recap the output of last year:

The new Unbekoming Interview Library (A FREE Public Resource)

I’m especially interested in doing more Written Interviews.

I think that the written Q&A format is an old form “analog” format whose time has returned as it gives the interviewed time to consider their responses in depth (and provide links to other work), and it gives the readers time to ponder and reflect on the answers.

It also allows you the reader to consume the interview in multiple ways. You can listen to is using the audio option of the Substack App, you can also obviously read it online and click through to all the links and resources within the interview, but you can also print it and read and scribble on it to your hearts content.

I have quite a few interviews lined up, and I just did a wonderful interview this morning with the one and only Dr Thomas Levy (Vitamin C) that I hope to publish soon.

I have put all the interview so far in this new Unbekoming Interview Library and as I publish new interviews, I will add them here with a synopsis and key points.

It is a free public resource that I think is unique in its breadth and depth, and I ask you to share it widely. I don’t think you need to be “awake” to appreciate many of these interviews and because of that I think they act as great segways for friends and family into the broader content of this Substack, where if people meander through the different articles, the flame of curiosity might just be lit again, and they might just wake themselves up.

I have also now put all the book summaries in one place.

As new subscribers join, and come across this new page, they can access the full library. As I produce more book summaries, I will continue to add them here.
Again, many of these book summaries can be enjoyed and appreciated by family and friends that are not “awake” yet. You don’t need to be awake to find the subject of Lyme Disease (and weaponized ticks) both interesting and relevant.

But these “safe” books and their summaries are adjacent to other summaries that open the door to entire new terrains, such as Heather Fraser’s book about The Peanut Allergy Epidemic.

People can wake themselves up if they are dealt with gently.

Why consider upgrading to a Paid Subscription.

This has to be the strangest upgrade offer ever.

You will get nothing more than a Free Subscriber, not even a set of steak knives.

This journey was, and is, not about money. It was, and remains, about panning for truths and likely truths among the dirt that is The Reality™ created by Oligarchical Empire as represented by all the different Public-Private Partnerships that shape our lives.

And with these discovered truths, we can use them as scaffolding to create a new reality that can help us, our families and friends navigate the minefield that is The Reality™.

I am only asking those that can, to consider upgrading to Paid, for those that cannot, please just enjoy and share the content.

Also, if you can only subscribe to one Substack, I don’t think it should be mine. Invest that money into Mercola’s Substack. But if you can support a second, then I’m putting my hand up.
