Same in the UK. I needed an investigation for a lesion and was told they would do a hysterectomy while they were in there. The justifications being that if they had to open me up to look they might as well remove it all as I was done with needing it any more, being over childbearing age.

That I said no was a total surprise to them, but despite more pressure from them I held my ground. I was traumatised by the experience for a long time, I know I would have ended up with even more trauma had I gone along with it just because the 'specialist' white coat told me to, with no medical justification.

Candy Farnsworth quote is astounding... I had no idea about this hidden sterilization agenda... and the compliance of doctors is staggering (whether they know what they're doing or not... These days it seems the doctors know very little about biology and seemed to be more trained in following procedure or handing out medication).

I know someone who had a hysterectomy in the 70's and it has played merry hell with her life since, I'm short on exact details, but a bladder displacement and all sorts of consequences for the organs in that region since that time, very painful.

The bladder tends to prolapse with age. It protrudes into the Vaginal canal. Making sex immposible. Not all women lose their sex drive even without hormones, we are slower to arouse and want it less often. Same as when a man gets older. And ED pills are wanted. Even they stop working. Only there is nothing for us. Saw Palmetto will help a little with your Prostate. But for women helps lower the formation of facial hair. By the time you are 76/83, you look more for companionship in your marriage.

And HPV-Garadsil SHOTS ARE A TOTAL LIE. THEY ARE for 8 STDs, why do you think boys now have to get them, if it was to prevent a cervical Cancer? Men don't have a Cervix.

Frightening. Thanks for opening my eyes.

Just imagine them cutting off your Testerone, and what it would do to your health! Not just the loss of a sex life, but damaging your health for life.

And yes women need a small amount of Testerone.

The testicles and ovaries produce testosterone. Producing too little or too much testosterone can affect your physical and mental health.

Testosterone is most often associated with sex drive and plays a vital role in sperm production. It also affects bone and muscle mass, the way men store fat in the body, and even red blood cell production.

A man’s testosterone levels can also affect his mood.

Menopause is not a disease it is the age progression of our bodies until humans interfere. My body rejected their drugs. And the price was a DEGENERATIVE SPINE (OP). I have never had more than a few hot flashes. Supplements helped with the spine. As a baby grows we can learn how to help prevent bone loss.

TRUE. My DIL is due June 1 and it will be her 2nd C-section. Bikini cut. She had a very rough-induced first, fever, monitor would not fit around her so they shoved it inside the vagina. Savannah flatlined for a few seconds. then evened out. This hospital is a women's only. NO OB was present on any floor, they had to call her in when labor stalled at 9cm. I blame it on the induction. Women are in a hurry or have a reason they need to have the baby on a certain date. And she is supposed to be better educated than a 75-year-old, who reads Subs on the subject. And been through it all. My first was a 3-day labor in 1970. Healthy 7.8 lb boy.

Oh, boy do I know all about that, I'm a Victim of the Hysterectomy club.

I was definitely pressured to get a hysterectomy when I had crazy excessive bleeding for years on end. The pressure came from doctors, specialists and surprisingly - good friends and family as well! Despite everyone telling me how 'safe' it was, it just didn't sound right to me. I'm so glad I resisted! Soon after I went into (natural) menopause.

My sister is an ob/gyn, and she was casually talking about a procedure that went wrong on a patient of theirs, in which her colleague ended up botching a very minor procedure, and she had to go talk to the husband and basically deceive him regarding what happened. They ended up removing all of this woman's healthy reproductive organs. Can you imagine waking up to find yourself a completely different person!? I was shocked by my sister's nonchalant attitude and the complete lack of accountability. If there ever was a God complex, it resides in so called medical professionals and administrative staff overseeing them. We're guilty as a society for elevating them to such a blameless status.
