A fantastic interview of Wikipedia’s founder, on Glen Greenwald’s show.

Hola, U.

Nice timing. I was just going through Tereza Coraggio's summary of what might be the greatest psyop of the last couple hundred years, maybe for ever: The WWII.

It turns out that the suppression and disinformation tactics used in covid were likely honed with the 2nd world war. The first war was a deep practice run.

If you haven't seen it, you may find this interesting.

Thanks Guy, I'll definitely follow this up.

I've known for 20 years Wikipedia was controlled information. They have repeatedly attacked any entries about homeopathy, replacing whatever was posted by a real homeopath with something from a skeptic platform. People have tried for years to correct the misinformation only to end up black listed and unable to add any more information.

Redefining language redefines thinking.

One egregious example, the redefinition of "vaccine". Now everytime I use the word I must footnote it with a reference to my 1954 Webster's.

I'm not even sure there is any more a word for what "vaccine" used to mean, so I don't generally use the word any more. Newspeak.

The reason I decided to use it and stopped using "jab" was to not protect previous vaccines from the carnage of this one. By calling it a "jab" and "not a real vaccine" I was falling into the trap of implying that "real vaccines work" and "they are safe and effective" but "this one is different".

So, if they want to use the word vaccine, to hide this new terror under the fake halo of the previous products, then let them have it their way. If I am going to reveal the sins and lies of this product, let me do it while dismantling the fake prestige associated with the prior product.

If they want to use the word vaccine, then let them swallow everything that comes with that deception, whole.

That is the problem. The language gets destroyed and one's ability to discuss something - even to think about it because we think in words mostly - is also destroyed.

There's something to your point about "jab". Still, it seems the social understanding of "the jab" - maybe it needs the "the"? - refers to the COVID shots.

The redefinition of the word applies as well to previous vaccines. Does that mean they all need to be safety tested again (ahem!) because they now fulfill a different function? Everything turns into grey goo. Like the arguments the FDA is making about their statements on ivermectin. WTF did the legal system look like in 1984? Hurts my head.

This verse from Modest Mouse has always been a favorite of mine and it just seems appropo. forget the language...

'The parting of the sensory

Carbon's anniversary

Just part it again if you please

Carbon's anniversary

Who the hell made you the boss?

If you say what to do, I know when not to stop

If you were the ship, who would ever get on?

The weather changed it for the worse

And came down on us like it had been rehearsed

Unlikely hope, but change will surely come

It'd be awful for most, but really good for some

A four year trip to the exact same spot

We pulled the trigger, but we forgot to cock

And every single shot

Aw, fuck it, I guess we lost' --Modest Mouse Parting of the Sensory
