Kafka's entire opus illustrated how this kind of bureaucratic tyranny strangles progress and freedom. How to find the right place between death by labyrinthine complexity and death by the law of the jungle is a problem that has perplexed mankind for generations and likely will continue to do so.
Actually there is nothing complicated about it. If we have the foundational beliefs in place. But we don't. The only foundational beliefs we have is "make money' or "earn a living". Nothing other than that is common to humanity at this juncture.
How about something like we don't kill our own kind intentionally, for any reason? That might change things somewhat.
What about the belief that everyone is a sovereign, free, autonomous being. That would result in humans seeking consent from each other before assuming one consents. That assumption needs to be cleared from the get-go otherwise it usually means someone is trying to bully another (dominate).
How about a foundational belief in caring for nature? For not poisoning the water, soil, air? For caring about the animals so no animals live lives of torture just because we take their lives for our food.
This and so much more we could be building as our foundations. I'd like to hear people talking about it and discussing all the spinoffs that can come from being in this autonomous and free condition.
Agreed. Perhaps we should look more critically at 'the news' and how it is owned by entities that shape it to serve their own interests. One ray of hope is that more and more people simply do not engage in what we would call mainstream news because it is so manipulative. Finally, I see a parallel in how pharma doctors and pharma drugs ignore and mask symptoms such that bodies destroy their own feedback systems.
In his last book, David Graeber wrote eloquently about the importance of preserving the autonomy to disregard rules and walk away from centralizing systems (Cahokia, as a historical example). Retaining personal agency is itself a corrective, as it reasserts the openness of life-giving systems to which we are all connected to as long as we remain alive. .
I love this. Yes, this is where our attentions could go. What we talk about summons that reality. When we talk about the way we wish to become and to see in the world, that brings about those conditions. This is something basic that "the occult" tries to hide with their sleight of hand tom foolery.
A riveting read thank you very much. I’m now going to walk and continue digestion of your thoughts , a process which will no doubt continue for quite some time. Very glad to have taken many notes .
Before I walk , what you have laid out in your work here , is something I experience intensely almost on a daily basis . Just haven’t been able to find the language …..
"...societies are not destroyed by their mistakes but by the loss of their capacity to correct them." This is done by hypnotizing humans to voluntarily take in poisons that directly affect brain function. I think.
