"What we call man's power of nature turns out to be a power exercised by some men over other men." and "For science (technology) the problem is how to subdue reality to the wishes of men, the solution is a technique and in the practice of this technique men are ready to do things hitherto regarded as disgusting and impious."
Thank you for commenting. Interestingly, I am right in the middle of re-reading Lewis's "The Abolition of Man" -- so I will look out for those two quotes in their fuller context. The first sounds definitely familiar; the second only vaguely; nice to be reminded of them both, thank you. Forms of power tend to accrue to those already in power, and along with money, media, and armies etc, Technology is no exception to this trend. It is both scary and intriguing as to how it will continue to pan out.

What a beautiful merger of the understanding of what technology is really for and where is the human part in it.

We worry about AI hijacking human decision-making in the future, but The Corporation already did so from the outset*. I'm glad to hear the "fix" I've been touting for many years being repeated by an analyst of Joshua's stature.
*I'm thinking East India Company, but the rights and power of The Corporation have been escalating ever since.
