The 'noble' lie is one we can be lulled into accepting. Fauci admitted he did that with masks and with the number needed to reach herd immunity (while no real attempt was made to vaccinate Africa). When you accept the 'greater good' the games with the truth seem necessary. I fall for it all the time. Its in our movies. I'll watch MCU flicks when they are on TNT as they are fun. Was watching the Avengers and there it is. Nick Fury takes trading cards and smears it with the blood of the agent who Loki killed to help stir the Avengers into action. And you just nod along, like yeah, thats how you do it. Anyways, US history the real edition is crushing as the mythology of the US is a good one and it makes it that much more sad when you see all the holes in it. If the world truly had such a nation it be a better place.

Well said Dennis.

Indeed, the myth of the US is a wonderful, aspirational one. If only it was real...

The sinking of the Lusitania prior to WW1 was a similar provocation and expected reaction. Besides passengers, the ship was carrying 173 tons of munitions to England for use against the Germans. The US government wanted to get into the war, but there was no popular support for it. The sinking of a "passenger" ship took care of that problem.

Yes, in fact Greenwood tells that story in his book also.

False flags are a "small price to pay" for Empire to move in a direction with its subjects' "support".

I've just started reading 180°. As you say well written, and easy to read. James Delingpole also did a great interview with Feargus Greenwood that's why listening to Haven't had a chance to listen to Richard Vobes' interview yet.

The GMC is undoubtedly an awakening for many...watched the embedded video with some interest. I’ve travelled almost the exact same mental path as Unbekoming, from naïveté to now questioning EVERYTHING!...as a Christian, two things are difficult. 1. Most churches (IMO) failed the test of the GMC, with the exception of a very small number of standouts.

2. The presenter acknowledges the biblical worldview, (spirit over materialism), but then gives positive credence to several spiritual phenomena which are specifically noted in the bible as part of the ‘dark’ or satanic forces.

How to square this circle is the question?

Just my 10 cents. Always love reading your work!!!!

This tracks along what I’ve seen over the past decade. My characterization of this phenomenon I call The Spectacle of the Real. It is comes from a culture of simulated reality. Here’s something I wrote that describes what I see. https://edbrenegar.substack.com/p/leadership-based-on-the-culture-of

I have known that 9/11 was committed by the US themselves when I saw G.W.Bush's body language after he was told. He sat on a little chair among play school children, (you couldn't have a more innocent scenario), when his aid came in and whispered a short message into his ear. Was it: "It's done'?? Bush kept sitting there motionless.

I thought the same thing as I read this Pearl Harbor Substack today. Hmmm! Interesting.

I'm about 2/3s through 180 degrees and it is excellent. Interesting, easy to read, well documented, and well formatted. I learned about the book and the author from the Delingpod (James Delingpole) podcast. The challenge is getting those who most need to learn this to read it. IMHO, the average person is uninformed/misinformed precisely because they never read books. This one is especially daunting as it is over 800 pages I think.

What is meant by American Empire? Are you saying it is a uniquely and solely American venture?

Is there not old European money/power still pulling strings - or at least having influence - across the pond with their Yankee partners (an unholy alliance if ever there was one)?

Expand full comment

Primarily yes. The center of gravity is definitely American, and it used to be British.

There are clearly interests that span across long timelines and both centers of gravity.

But when it's all said and done, Empire is about power, that is derived from capital, that requires protection. The primary means of protecting Empire's capital is clearly American.

Worth a listen https://open.spotify.com/episode/7snfZ3jPtZ9CEaVQJTxU8b?si=SJmw5GjbTk6kwN3Bvv9PzA .. Main point being it is an open question who is the brains behind the operation?!? Some argue that the yanks are merely the muscle for those actually pulling the strings. It does beggar the question why 'Murika would go about destroying itself - as it seems to be going about. Many cross currents and competing factions that are tricky to parse - in every country of course.
