Music, the other love of my life, been following this for too long. Conspiracy theorist that I am I wondered about Patsy Cline's plane crash, a few years before Dag Hammerskjold, Sec Gen of UN, plane crash as he was traveling to Congo to settle a dispute after Patrice Lumumba's overthrow. Little to no investigation.
60's, 70's and 80's deaths of musicians, off the charts, almost always suicide and drug overdoses. I remember them all and didn't believe a word on MSM. After Bob Marley, Mama Cass, Jimmy Hendrix, the gig was up. Shocking was John Lennon, Michael Jackson and Prince. All 3 murdered. So, I stood back, looked at the world's political situation, how these men had changed, who they were connected to and the influence these 3 men had over the populace, and could that influence change the trajectory of political movements.
I made a connection with these 3 men to Bob Marley's "Stand up and Fight". A direct call to arms against England and their control over Jamaica. Human sacrifice? without a doubt. Dangerous industry to work in?without a doubt. You can be snuffed out like a cigarette butt, in less time. Governments, inventors, music, medicine, go against the narrative, the plan, and you're toast. That results in Trump and Kennedy doing absolutely nothing, but still breathing.
Hats off to Unbecoming and Mark Devlin ,whom I have had the great fortune of finding him some years ago and have listened to many interviews since and have read his books. Besides being a gifted writer and someone who speaks with intelligence, his biggest asset I would say is his curiosity about how the world works which has been my on going complaint regarding most people we know unfortunately. this combination of assets are why he has been associated with many of the best researchers and journalists in the world. The iconic channel, Whitney Webb, Ole Dammegard, Jacob Nordangard . I have frequently expressed my feeling that in this often unpleasant world the one thing, besides the obvious things that keep one alive ,that I could not live without is music. That being said I am not a musician and don't really understand the mathematics of it all but when I see some of these people play I am at a loss as to how it is done. Same goes to song writing. I once was talking about The Allman Brothers to some one I knew who was about my age, 70ish, and he asked what type of music do they play? I was confused that he did not know them and I responded that it was southern blues oriented and they were from Georgia. He responded in a question "you mean hillbilly music?" The next day I sent him a few of Dickey Betts ' best instrumentals which in my mind are as sophisticated pieces of music as ever have been written at any time. I got no response at all. Other people I know have little knowledge of music and seem not to care. What a pity to go through life without. The 60s and 70s were the best of times and the worst of times . Music however generated or influenced was its greatest achievement. Just want to end with the fact that I still enjoy everything I used to enjoy regardless of who and how it came to be as they can't take that away no matter what. Thanks again to Mark and Unbecoming!
"The conscious and intelligent manipulation of the organized habits and opinions of the masses is an important element democratic society. Those who manipulate this unseen mechanism of society constitute an invisible government which is the true ruling power of our country."
Quote from Edward Bernays' book "Propaganda" originally published in 1928. Bernays cut his teeth creating the propaganda to get the American people to support the US's entry into WWI.
He later became the father of the public relations industry (i.e. propaganda for hire). Contrary to popular belief, propaganda is far more important in so-called "democratic societies" than so-called authoritarian or totalitarian societies as noncompliance can be more easily rectified by force.
But what was the US in 1914? It was an up and coming imperial power. What was going on in the 1960's? There was a very large (and with growing militancy) anti-war movement opposing US imperial conquest in south east Asia. Acid-addled hippies don't protest the war machine. Seeking altered states of consciousness, either thru drugs, eastern mysticism or new age thinking does not challenge the system.
I recommend the book "Drugs as Weapons Against Us: The CIA's Murderous Targeting of SDS, Panthers, Hendrix, Lennon, Cobain, Tupac, and Other Activists " by John Potash; it covers much of the same territory.
I’ll check it out. I read a few of the comments. Interesting. I’m a complete misfit and contrarian. My wife is not as much of a misfit, but joins me on the contrarian side.
We have lived alone on our gracefully aging 35ft sailboat since 2011. Neither of us have any friends from childhood, or HS, or college. For me, by choice. For her not quite by choice but circumstance.
Our lifestyle is interesting in that regard. Living on a boat and travelling, or living in a marina, you can make friends quickly. And lose them just as quickly. Never to be seen or heard from again. Like a simulation!
One side note, that you might find interesting. My mom was a performance artist. She was a vocalist and performed with the Count Basie orchestra along with many other of the big bands back in the 40s. After she got married and had a family she semi retired. But she still did weddings, funerals, church soloist, and for 20 years sang with the Detroit Symphony during their Christmas concerts. Needless to say I grew up in a very ‘musical’ household.

I received a MM in vocal arts in 1977 and loved every second of performing in opera, musical theatre and madrigal choirs
I launched my dream to become an international performer and moved to NY to find an agent. I found in my search the ugly truth to this story.
This might help. Thank you.

Here's a comparison between Devlin's, Greenwood, Aristotle and Biblical 'Natural Law', which I prompted ChatGPT to write. https://chatgpt.com/share/69518885-f4fc-800c-95c9-25b626de4e4a
