Came across JJ over a year ago now while he was still employed.
Even before I came across him though, I found issues with the lab leak theory:
1. The videos of people dropping dead in the streets in China were fake and the makeshift hospital built in 10 days seem to be propaganda effort as well (refer to Michael Senger for more information). Knowing the CCP was engaging in propaganda efforts not to hide the virus but rather to make it appear extremely threatening - imagine a perfectly health person walking down a street and suddenly dropping down dead) 0and something they take extremely seriously (remember the people and vehicles spraying the streets) - why assume any virus even emerged from Wuhan?
2. We see several published reports that the virus was around as early as September 2019 in Italy so again why does Wuhan remain the epicenter? Even the American investigation decided it must have been present by mid-October. If that is true, why didn't the virus spread everywhere in China? Some say that Wuhan was locked down for the military games but others have videos showing a busy city. Also where were the excess deaths in the fall of 2019?
3. One can perhaps convince the majority of the masses but there will always be some skeptics. The gain-of-function theory is a very enticing alternative narrative for many skeptics of the official narrative. They know something is wrong and here is a competing theory that originated very early on and note the theory was so readily dismissed even though there was a lab in the city where the virus originated. The skeptics are then convinced that there must be a novel virus and that likely it's even more dangerous than a wet market virus because it escaped from a lab. Ergo, they see a need for vaccines, treatments etc and when there are calls for the WHO to regulate this type of research (witness Jeffrey Sachs), all the citizens who trust government will agree but now even the skeptics who don't believe the official narrative are on board.
4. For some reason the people in charge of this supposedly dangerous gain-of-function research do not seem at all worried that they are funding research that might wipe themselves and their entire family out. People understand the concept of mutually assured destruction yet don't seem to consider a similar situation would have likely prevented such research being undertaken in the first place unless there was a known guaranteed cure.
Ron Unz doesn't claim to be a virologist or a biologist. He was trained as a physicist and worked at Cal Tech. He puts together and interesting set of historical facts that point to intentional release of SarsCov2 during the Oct/Nov 2019 International War Games held in Wuhan.
It fits JJ Couey's pure viral swarm and dispenses with the lab leak theory. But Ron Unz doesn't propose any of these. He can't, he is a physicist and can only piece together the political and economic reasons that maybe behind a military covert release of SarsCov2.
Interesting. Will definitely check it out. However, there is now evidence that SARSCov2 was circulating in Italy by early September. John Campbell discusses the paper here:
If so, the military games would be out as the start since they took place October 18.
There was also this story about an odd respiratory virus that broke out in a Virginia nursing home in July 2019 that was being investigated because quite a few got sick even though it was odd for it to occur in the summer. Not sure if it's related:
Yes I was following that one in Italy. Such an anomaly. One of the arguments made about the clustering SarsCov2 illness is they are located in areas around the world that have very bad air quality. That was the case in Italy at the time you mention, if my memory is correct.
It sure seems to me to be a case of hype to propel a gene therapy injection in to much of humanity for the purpose of degrading the immune system as far as I can tell.
I appreciate your thoughts and observation. I doubt I save the info on Italy. You are right it happened before SarsCov2 was a thing.
The data out of Italy is very interesting. I also recall some pointing out that areas with bad air pollution such as northern Italy and Wuhan seemed to be the ones hit with covid. I don't know but what the Italy data seems to suggest - if this finding can be confirmed - is that SARS-Cov2 is likely not the deadly virus people believe it to be.
If so, one question would be how far back can we trace the virus? While it may seem an unlikely possibility, another question would be whether it's possible that the virus is common enough that a certain amount of the population tends to test positive at any given time (maybe at a higher rate during flu season as it could be part of the same viral swarm), some of which will be asymptomatic because the virus is harmless while the ones who are sick might actually be sick with another virus such as flu but we're attributing their sickness to covid. Denis Rancourt puts forth the argument that the data doesn't conform to a viral pandemic (for instance Colorado and Kansas are next to each other but with very different outcomes in 2020) and that it could be treatments used (remdesevir + vents) or lack of treatments that might have contributed to what was observed. Rancourt pointed out that doctors were discouraged from prescribing anti-bacterials for pneumonia-like illnesses, which are actually quite common, because covid is a viral infection.
I believe JJ Couey and others have pointed out several times that the CORONA VIRUS is a very common virus which we have all been exposed to and have some antibodies for. Thus a poorly prep PCR test and report that a CORONA VIRUS was found.
Here is something to keep in mind the US was 4th in the world in health and longevity in 1970. In 2020 (or there abouts) we are now 79th in the world. This is not caused by Covid. It is caused by the 80,000 plus chemicals released into the air, water and soil everyday. It is a result of folks leaving the rural life where the large family garden and home canned foods were common. We gave that up for the city life and TV dinners etc. We can now see that may have been a bad choice.
Totally agree. Americans overall health and longevity have been decreasing long before covid for the reasons you state. Also add the amount of pharmaceuticals Americans are prescribed and the amount of fast food available and it's a crisis here but has also been spreading to other parts of the world.
Regarding cases in Italy, I recall reading that there are many Chinese factories in Italy, staffed by Chinese, who travel to and from China. The Chinese factory owners want to put the label Made in Italy on their goods.
Italy had sever respiratory infections months before any chinese outbreak. One of the critiques of the world wide pan/plandemic is the locations that had the largest numbers of covid infections also had the worse air pollution. Certainly that was the case for Italy. Very bad air quality where the respiratory infections clustered. Equally true of Wuhan China.
I’m so pleased to see this sub on JJ. I found him almost 12 months ago and he is the only person I follow closely anymore. He has been asking the right questions and his knowledge of the detail is second to none. He is honest about the things he’s gotten wrong and is willing to change his opinion as new information emerges. Everyone needs to hear and understand what he is saying, because if he is right (I think he is) we are in a whole world of trouble should we continue to follow the lab leak narrative through.
I also began listening a year ago, and he is Very Clear that he is learning as he goes. And has the strength of character to admit he gets things wrong.
Watch jj's recent interview w/Denis Rancourt and compare and contrast that with today's live hearing w/Ron Johnson as host. Panelists included Kory, Cole, Malone, McCullough, Alexander, Risch, Marik etc.
These are two different universes of 'Covid Skeptics.'
Can you give the quick upshot of the main difference between the groups in case I don't find the time to track down the interview or listen to the live hearing? I kind of feel the live hearing was just going to recap all of what I heard before.
Malone, Kory, McCullough, Marik et al believe there was a novel pathogen that created a global pandemic in 2020 and that that pandemic could have been handled differently through the use of various known and inexpensive treatments.
Rancourt, Couey, Yeadon, myself et al assert through evidence that there was no pandemic in 2020- there was no unique viral pathogen- we were involved in a normal season of illness (a mild one at that) until medical and administrative protocols mandated by various state or national entities kicked in CAUSING mass death through these procedures.
Can you provide a link to JJ's interview w/ Denis Rancourt? I've just found JJ and am incredibly impressed with his knowledge, and humility, and the "theory" he's put forward re. how the "fast spreading deadly virus" could have been pulled off (infectious clones seeded in various spots). Thanks!
TY so much! Yes, I could have looked myself, and sorry to seem lazy - I just wanted to be sure I got the right one, in case they'd talked more than once. Thanks again!
I've watched him on Rumble with Rounding the Earth and just one video on GigaOhmBiological over there (don't know why) I believe he publishes videos on something called "Twitch"?
It's a bit of a learning-curve - looking forward to more from you @unbekoming - but I too am convinced by his knowledge and integrity.
Just a bit of gossip: both JJ and Mathew Crawford are suspicious of Andrew Huff (Ecohealth whistleblower) and the lawyer Thomas Renz (DMED database)
Remember the exaggerated claims made about the DMED data that Mathew Crawford has investigated extensively? Well my understanding is - in a similar way that Stew Peters has come under the spotlight for the extraneous claims in Died Suddenly - that Renz may have been complicit in exaggerating those claims in order to discredit the Medical Freedom movement. That's just my take, it's quite a small snippet in the video I mentioned.
Can you provide a link to that video? I really thought Renz was a good guy, but would like to hear from the horse's mouth anything credible that points to the opposite. Thanks! I've been suspicious of Huff for several reasons, particularly that he never came forward before a year or so ago, yet was knee-deep in the psyop, working for EcoHealth Alliance, one of the main players.
I just watched J Couey's presentation at the Canadian National Citizens' Inquiry being held in various cities across Canada. His talk and slides were presented at about the 7hr and 30 min make of that days livestream , Day 3 of Red Deer hearing. He made it clear and easy to understand and hope he gets thrown appreciation he deserves from Canadians. The NCI hearings are being throttled by big tech and our state funded media. It's been banned off of various platforms. The hearings are to allow regular Canadians to share their stories of the last three years as so many doctors would not believe their injection injuries or treat them appropriately.

Big time fan of Jonathan Couey since he was on his bike and it's been an incredible educational journey. What's nicest for me, as a not so sciencey person, is learning fundamentals well enough to feel part of solving the riddles and enjoying discoveries from the bleachers, but understanding enough to cheer for the home team when good defense wins the game!! :~)
So it seems that Twitch doesn't keep Couey's videos up, and I don't have a "time machine". Does anyone know where to find his material introducing his hypothesis which is sharable to newcomers?
I'm looking for a video I can share to newcomers to Couey's hypothesis. These latest ones jump into the deep end and assume his audience is familiar. Have you come across any recent good overviews of his thinking?
He used to do an Immunomythology update about every 1-2 months with his latest thinking
seeing that he has removed all the old ones, I have to assume this one is a decent summary of his latest thinking. I haven't watched it yet, so this is an assumption.
Also, in my archive I downloaded two videos from his twitch in Oct and Dec 2022 that would be useful

Yes, he definitely seems/feels to me to be the closest to the truth of anybody at the moment.
JJ has the singular quality lacking in many of even the best on team reality- humility.
I hated to see the recent fallout between him and his compatriots, but in the end it’s probably for the best.
Oh, ok. I don't know much about him except he's a lawyer from Ohio. Thank-you!
