Thank you both for this fantastic interview. I'm a great fan of your work, Jennifer, and horrified at the abuse and rejection you have experienced. As a mother, and health-researcher I resonate with a lot of your experience, and am happy to take your advice to heart! In admiration, heartfelt gratitude and with best wishes for your projects and life 💕🙏

"I found out that, when it comes to vaccines and many other pregnancy and parenting practices, the medical establishment puts people over profits—time and time again."

Shouldn't that read "the medical establishments puts profits over people--time and time again?"

Wonderful interview. Both Jennifer and her mom are exceptional women. Regarding Lynn's revelations on Gaia Theory, I personally think Gaia Theory is the reason we really shouldn't worry about climate change, except as a political tool for more control of human activity and more profit for the elites. The earth will continue to self-regulate, only (unfortunately) being taxed by geoengineering, cloud seeding, and extreme pollution, e.g. microplastics in the environment.

Yes. My mom would have agreed with you, vegan warrior. She was sure that we humans would pollute ourselves out of existence at some point. And she thought so poorly of humans that she did not envision this as problematic...

Bravo, and so glad to see your work get more recognition👏😊

Your mothers work was groundbreaking and light years ahead of even where we are now. Hopefully there will be a renaissance on her work so it will finish the path that she started.😊🤞

Yet, that was the only thing I ever disagreed with about your mum's work...her view on humanity's self-annihilation.😉

Nihilism is an intentionally programmed response, systemic in society for many decades, but it's still a politicised concept, rather than actual natural philosophy. For those that feel challenged by this assertion, I respectfully suggest having a look to history of psychology/marketing and political science from the 1900s onwards in Europe and the state's. BTJMO 😊

Thank you for being born Jennifer. You have made the world a better place by choosing to be here now. Be well.🤗

Could not listen to the audio but read the interview. I too had scientists for parents - father was a geophysicist and mother a botanist - so on our family holidays we would get an ear load of geology and plant information wherever we went!

Thank you Jennifer. You are so wise. What does it take to turn the tide? I am not sure, except that it takes first of all people who think for themselves, and don't believe everything they hear. They check the facts, and don't just believe in trends, minus previously or presently held data to the contrary of what they are "told." And it takes dedication and perseverance, in the face of resistance. Thank you for being all those things and more! For the children! And for society as a whole! --Not just the hole in big pharma's pockets.

> If you know how to do this, please tell me! I’m not sure how to change a broken system but I know we have to try. I also know that shedding light in dark places and exposing abuse and government overreach helps us all better understand what’s really going on and how to fix it.

REPLY: I believe it helps to know how we got here. History is helpful.

Dr. Lynn Margulis shined a very important light on the microcosmos. Industrial microbiology tries to understand and learn form the bacteria. Sometimes to enslave, sadly.

A brief synopsis of a comment with historical perspective post on another substack.

Context: WHAT HAPPENED TO THE ENVIRONMENTAL MOVEMENT

> Now their cause has been co-opted by big tech and other corporate actors with malevolent intentions — and the rest of the environmental movement has gone along with this, apparently without objection.

REPLY: Absolutely the fact! The ball started rolling with the creation of the EPA, and the slow lullaby that now everything will be OK. Didn't believe it then don't now. Do you include your self as one of those that went "along with this, apparently without objection"?

I have been an organic gardener since 1971 and alert aware and doing what I can to wake folks up.

In 1970 the USA was 4th in the world in health and longevity, in 2020, 79th. At the same time the health and cognitive fitness of the nation tanked so did the environmental movement. When organic went USDA Organic, it also became controlled by large corporations that have been watering down the Organic standards to increase profits.

I love your writing Toby, still you seem surprised that this is happening. It has been happening at least since 1950s. Mostly behind the scenes. Perhaps the biggest reason it has been so successful is the Nixon/Ford administration and Ag Secretary Earl Butz telling small farmers to GET BIG OR GET OUT. With the small farmer gone there is nothing to stop the destruction of the environment.

Hi Jennifer,

Thank you Unbekoming for interviewing Jennifer Margulis. Very helpful and fascinating.

> Many projects! I’m currently at work on a book about my mom’s science and her life. Her work is in every biology textbook in the world—often (these days) without credit given to her. But when she was a young scientist, she was constantly ridiculed for “going too far,” and “being nonsensical.” Why wouldn’t she stop promoting unorthodox ideas, establishment scientists asked her in total exasperation. Because I’m right, she responded.

REPLY: Wow you are very busy. Happy busy too! I have all of your mom's books (I think). I love that she took the time and pains to make complex science understandable and applicable. In large part her work is why my wife and I never took the gene therapy injectables. Because of you we also met Dr. Paul Thomas a very humble and amazing MD.

With all our hearts we wish you your family and all you touch health and happiness.

peace,

bill and genie.

Fantastic interview! Jennifer is such a lovely soul, and she's responsible for helping a lot of parents make wise choices in the interest of their kids. She's taken a lot of guff from a lot of ignorant and hateful people, and yet maintains her poise and prose!
