As an American, I hear nothing but how freakin' wonderful we are -- despite stunning evidence to the contrary. I hang my head at the suffering, death, and destruction "my" country's "government" has brought to people around the world. This...to the complete ennui and insouciance of my fellow "Americans."

How can we be at once the "exceptional people of an exceptional nation" and be so obtuse, conceited, and blind???
The immorality and criminality of the U.S. government have been on full display for decades. Against a moral compass, in this "Christian" nation, virtually none of the last century passes muster. Never mind what it did to the native populations in centuries past.
In light of this, I have no idea whatsoever what can prompt anyone to declare that she (in this case) actually thought that the government was actually there to protect her -- or whatever she said. She saw no "patterns" until the "COVID" op? Or none worth contemplating against that moral compass???
No excuses, Karen. None. I just hope that the few who have awakened from their slumber are enough to pull this thing back. We shall see...and I pray that God forgives this "exceptional" nation.
