My point is that If there were a lot of guys with good jobs that could support a family on one income, I bet that more women would choose to be stay-home moms. I'm a Gen X man. My wife wanted a kid. I told her she would have to quit her job because I'm not putting a kid in daycare. Our kid is almost a teen and my wife has zero regrets. That's what worked for us.

While we may reject these roles as defined in history texts, we also fail to adapt the same family unit to modern times, where women in corporations occupying important positions are quite common.
While I agree that feminism has opened the door to transgenderism, I am not sure that feminism required billionaire funding to become a movement; in other words would it have developed organically? Probably, not because of media publicity, but through social evolution of our thoughts and practices as a society. In my opinion, if our economic slavery didn't exist and governments didn't play favorites in the corporate space, a smaller more decentralized economy like that which existed before the Civil War, (BTW-the Confederate Constitution outlawed slavery although it also grandfathered slavery), roles would have evolved to be less gender specific and flexible work rules allowing parental leave (as opposed to maternity leave) would permeate the workplace in enlightened corporations.
Forcing feminism down our throats due to our economic slavery system is what fostered the materialism and greed that created modern day feminism. Soy boys created the emasculated male. The insistence in the 50's that woman's place was in the home or at church meant that revolt was not only likely but imperative. Those of us who grew up in that era are very familiar with all the ways women were demeaned, excluded and preyed upon. To wish to be male instead of female by many women was understandable.

The only child to a committed feminist widowed at 40 when I was 14+ the role I was played into was unwitting token male, as in Chauvnist pig.
