I agree dinosaurs likely are a hoax and oil probably is abiogenic but that doesn't mean Peak Oil isn't real. PO is really about declining net energy, not running out of oil. If oil is continuously being created but the rate of replenishment is too low, and the oil requires massive energy to extract (e.g. fracking) then that's a big problem because globalism is predicated upon cheap oil.

My local amateur found lots of bones and teeth and and footprints over the course of 45 years .. The chap at Kimmeridge was such a respected amateur that he easily got help to dig that thing out. He got a team together . The actual man who first found the skull was a proper amateur and is angry that he wasnt even mentioned in the TV show about it.
It wasnt 3 different skulls due to trickery .. it was other skulls and the original restored .
They generally add and restore bits of missing skeletons.

So the dinosaur skeletons on display in museums across the planet are fake? The evidence is pretty damning but isn't there an obvious question not addressed in this excellent synthesis?
The Tyrannosaurus Rex is probably the best-known today of these 'fake' dinosaurs, largely thanks to the Jurassic Park movies. If this creature never existed, and the skeletons we see today are based on a few random animal bones discovered in the 19th century, why is its appearance so unchanging and specific?
Who said this is what the Tyrannosaurus Rex actually looked like, or the Triceratops, or the Brachiosaurus, etc., etc.? To my eyes they resemble ancient mythological creatures like the dragon. Is that where the inspiration for dinosaurs came from?

Probably yes. If you look at T Rex it’s obvious it couldn’t have existed- they let their imaginations run wild. If you look at small ghekkos & lizards it’s pretty obvious where they got their ideas from. Could’ve been big spiders- they probably threw a coin to decide which species to develop 💯

I agree dinosaurs likely are a hoax and oil probably is abiogenic but that doesn't mean Peak Oil isn't real. PO is really about declining net energy, not running out of oil. If oil is continuously being created but the rate of replenishment is too low, and the oil requires massive energy to extract (e.g. fracking) then that's a big problem because globalism is predicated upon cheap oil.

My local amateur found lots of bones and teeth and and footprints over the course of 45 years .. The chap at Kimmeridge was such a respected amateur that he easily got help to dig that thing out. He got a team together . The actual man who first found the skull was a proper amateur and is angry that he wasnt even mentioned in the TV show about it.
It wasnt 3 different skulls due to trickery .. it was other skulls and the original restored .
They generally add and restore bits of missing skeletons.
The early guys didnt find the bones themselves.. their staff went out and did so mainly, in about 3 years I think .. and they would have asked quarry workers etc like we do here .
We know there were some frauds for sure.. the BBC made a drama about faked victorian artifacts and costly dinosaurs a few years ago. We know it was so lucrative that they did resort to tricks at times ..
I have about 300 large dino footprints on the beach near me .. I doubt anyone carved them centuries ago at low tide tho ..
They found woolly mammoth and hippo skulls almost under our garden in England .. I have no problem accepting species die out and come and go.. we can see it all the time.

The narratives may well have been tweaked and gamed agewise or regarding the exact form of the creatures .. knowledge evolves and is subject to corruption , but the overall dino narrative still seems ok to me.

It is possible they game this a lot but huge numbers of skeletons have been found and for me the many large footprints are very compelling. The reality or otherwise of dinosaurs wouldnt have much effect on my concerns about species die off .. the dodo is enough for me.

Oh yes, I cant find anything about The first Ankylosaurus remains being discovered prior to 1900 and it wasnt named and demarcated until 1908 as far as I can see. To me it seems far more likely that they found and measured teeth and skulls than that they faked them all tbh .

Since I believe in the simulation theory of the universe,

I see it as reasonable that somewhere along the line, the simulation made some species just too successful so a more refined evolution than that of the dinosaur era was rendered impossible.

It really made a difference for our own coming to exist. The usual religious idea of God doesnt fit so well with that line of thinking. God of religions is almighty and never makes mistakes. Notice how with our present computers [PCs + Laptop + NoteBook etc], in order to test / measure if such a computer is actually performing what it is claimed it is performing in its abilities and performance abilities pe.g. CPU speed testing etc], you need another computer of the same build or very close in build quality to validate such performance [like what "LinusTechTips" does often on his YouTube channel]]. So, while the software is designed to act as if the software has a spirit / self-awareness / sentience/ consciousness, it's absolutely crucial to remember that it's all a pre-instructed by man elaborate act, a product of impressive software design and not an iota of true indication of spirit / self-awareness / sentience / consciousness. The lines between LLMs and genuine spirit / self-awareness / sentience / consciousness remain distinct, and the software falsely called "Al/Artificial Intelligence" in our factual, demonstrable, observable, repeatable, testable, thus operational scientific and ultra-natural nature of reality, remains firmly on the side of being an electronic [thus inanimate], sophisticated instructible pattern recognition and task refinement, fancy search-engine-term-completion stochastic software, designed by mankind to mirror, mimic, imitate and simulate us, to parrot us, mankind, like an electronic androdes/android.

Super fascinating. Are you saying that all dinosaurs are fake?
I have a hard time thinking that a very small handful of men had the imagination to come up with the actual physical look of all these crazy looking dinos. I just don't see them as super creative people.
Plus, with all the hundreds of thousands of people who have trained in paleontology, you'd think that many thousands would have become suspicious right way and expose the lie.

I've read Agent's Dinosaur Hoax series and enjoyed his easy-going vernacular style. One part you touched on but which he expands further is the $billion dinosaur industry. It really adds up into a monster money-making machine. Why ruin all that profit with the truth? Another point he makes is the depth which the Smithsonian is involved.
Wonderful essay. My assumption had always been that oil came from eons of decaying vegetation. Dinosaurs never entered into it.
