Bitcoin will be a digital “pet rock.”

they are telling us it will be a quantum banking system… the bank will require the whole of your biological signature… bitcoin is old school bait… the internet is outdated , this will be a totally new technology, totally different system… the new technology is sentient… so the internet goes down and never comes back and they introduce the new system, they’re already in the process of installing the tech in you, it explains eeverything.

currently central banks worldwide have an insatiable demand for gold (not bitcoin) to diversify away from dollar reserves. Bitcoin was most likely a US government product designed to siphon away interest in real assets, depressing prices. There will likely be a two tier system 1) the BIS system backed by hard assets facilitating trade and 2) the system for everyone else, no parallel systems tolerarated.

Great point kitten. That's why I'm trying to empower people with knowledge that they can take with them wherever they go (i.e. how to use Sunlight effectively to heal, etc) When the power goes out - we'll only have our wits.

Well Kitten; I see Bitcoin as far worse than a "Pet Rock". With a Pet Rock, one actually had a physical asset, and an investment which did not bankrupt the family.

I see Bitcoin as a "Tulip" on steroids.

Buyers were seduced by promises of "Anonymity" and the "Security", neither of which has proven true. Furthermore, there is no chance of burying Bitcoin in the back yard for the use of future generations....

“The quantum economy era is fast approaching and we need a global public-private approach to address the shifting, interconnected complexities it will introduce across the world,” said Sebastian Buckup, Head of Network and Partnerships; Member of the Executive Committee, World Economic Forum.

So this guys name is really Buckup? Dr. Strangelove does the WEF.

WHOA. Bullet number 2 on that WEF site:

"Global regulation and collaboration will be critical to mitigate quantum-security threats and harness the disruptive potential of emerging technologies."

Non commodity 'Money' will always be "Dishonest", almost by definition, at least in the minds and hands of those who equate money with 'Wealth'. Humans in general are not honest, specially in regards to Wealth. Therefore "Money" created by humans will always seek to favour the interests of its Creators? Printed Currencies and other Financial Instruments are no different.

It will take some time for people to get their head around the idea of "digital commodities." I get that. However, the idea of money needing to be a "commodity" that has a value separate from its monetary value (corn, wheat, sheep, gold, etc.), isn't always the case.

Here is one of the footnotes I'm adding to my 2024 edition of Dishonest Money:

“Intrinsic value/physical utility” is often cited as a main characteristic of commodity money. However, sticks, stones, and sea shells disprove that notion. If the commodity is rare, durable, difficult to “create,” decentralized and (most importantly) valued by its community, it can serve as commodity money."

Joe's book was GREAT! I do take issue with Bitcoin to an extent. Understanding its divisibility into smaller units I think for the poor they will always think it is too out of their reach. The economy is getting worse and worse SNF the ability to buy it is farther away now than 5 years ago.
