It shows the mindset and action of what has become the ruling power and how it came to be. One will see how capitalism is not the opposite of communism but a means of getting there. Highly recommended!

Interesting. It is historian Mathew Raphael Johnsons explanations of what Solzhenitsyn says in the book that I find of value. (He disagrees with some of what is said.) The quotes that he uses are real I believe. In particular, the Czarist Russian world at the time and the forces working to undermine it. That is why I suggested the reading rather than the book. Have only gotten up to 1917 so far. It is the time before and the Pale and its inhabitants that I find informative especially for the mindset. Thanks for the opinion.
Tend to agree. Solzh did write good stuff, but as with Yuri Bezmenov anyone who is heavily promoted is generally part of the psyop. Solzhenitsyn's work came out in the 70's, I read it all. His last book I downloaded but at that rime, only few chapters had been translated. No doubt, the good stuff, no one would allow translation in Western book world. Can I now get the entirety of 200 Years Together?
I believe that I have heard that it has been translated in full but cannot confirm. It is probably included in the introduction podcast. If already aware, I believe that you will find Dr Johnsons comments enlightening. They are only up to the immediateli-pre1917 revolution.

I just bought the book but was already aware of much of the same historical analysis documented by other writers; I will be very interested to see where the "hope" part comes in and how that can auger for a new future or is mostly based on wishful thinking; as Jack Nicholson vociferously declared in "A Few Good Men": "You can't handle the truth!" which really referred to the majority of our apathetic species which Erich Fromme once characterized as an "existential failure."
I think the hope part lies in reaching critical mass. When more than 4% of the world's population knows and understands what is really happening we can start building guillotines.

That said, the book appears to do what so many do, as I made reference to in my last comment, it doesn't go nearly deep enough into the background, to the roots so to speak and thus would provide a truncated analysis. Banking, in its current form, is Sumerian and thus over 5,000 years old. A good number of the various cuneiform tablets would put truth to this regarding banking and their incredible precision. And the various institutions to which he refers are updated versions of what they were centuries, if not a millennia or two ago. So the examination is topical--being of current interest or relevance--only.

Quigley got the message after the plates of this book were bought and destroyed leading him to write his second book The Anglo-American Establishment but withhold publishing and he later terminated an interview for fear for his life.
