On crabs, marlins and 1 in 18
We own a Sea Devil.
A lot of serious fishermen own Sea Devils.
My son is a serious fisherman.
He caught a crab as a 4 year old and the love of fishing got hardwired deep.
What started off with a crab, is now a marlin (tagged and released, if you were wondering):

It’s the same smile, and same happiness, 19 years later.
When you own a Sea Devil, you tend to wonder what other Sea Devil owners are doing, and how much they are selling for at any given time. To that end, there’s obviously a Facebook page.
My son, brought my attention to this recent post from a Sea devil owner, looking for a buyer.

As is always the case, when someone is selling a car, but especially a boat, people want to know WHY it’s being sold.
His answer:
If there’s a Dr. out there, maybe you can please explain what that image means. But I assume it’s some version of myo or peri carditis.

If you think that anybody is reporting a sore arm, then you are an idiot.
Let’s dwell on this for a moment.
136,000 reports, for a population of 25,000,000
That’s 1 in 183 of every man, woman and baby.
That’s WITHOUT assuming a URF (under-reporting factor) which if you have been paying any attention at all know that you have to take into account.
Pick any number you want, whatever tickles your fancy. I assume you don’t want to use 41x, which is supported by multiple different data points and analysis.
How about just 10x, is that low enough for you?
That would mean there are 1,360,000 injuries out there, including the poor gentleman selling his precious Sea Devil.
That is 1 in 18 Australians.
The Australian Government continues to say that the benefits of mRNA jabs “FAR outweigh the RARE risk”:

Myocarditis and pericarditis with mRNA vaccines
ATAGI continues to emphasise that the protective benefits of the mRNA vaccines far outweigh the rare risk of these side effects- external site.
ATAGI has advised that people who have had suspected vaccine-related myocarditis or pericarditis should defer further doses of an mRNA COVID-19 vaccine until at least 6 weeks after their symptoms have resolved. They should also discuss future vaccine doses with their treating doctor. If someone had told you that you had a 1 in 18 chance of having a meaningful adverse reaction to these experimental, genetic jabs, would you have taken the first dose, or the second, or…..now the fifth?
The 1 in 18 number maps over my personal experience. In my circles the stories of death and injury are in line with that number. Most people I know, who have had multiple jabs, cannot seem to shake of a cold, flu or even repeat Covid. There immune system is just not working quite right. That’s jab injury.
Anyway, if you are thinking of buying a Sea Devil, maybe give the guy a call, but go easy on the negotiation, he’s only selling because he’s desperate and the government, probably via his employer, has damaged his heart.
