I haven't read this article yet because the 1st paragraph blew me away. I don't even talk about it anymore because people look at me like I'm nuts. My mother lined us all up before going to school and gave us a sugar cube with a drop of kerosene in it. Maybe that's why I have always loved the smell of gasoline.
I don't remember what time of year it was so I'm guessing wintertime, but I know it was given to babies with croup. This practice was standard fare in our household, every year while we were in grammar school. You mentioned this was practiced in American Indian culture. Well, my mother had American Indian heritage so I can testify that this kerosine treatment was practiced by my great great great's in the 19th century for my mother to have known about it.
I'm just stunned Unbekoming wrote an article about this. Holy Mackeral, Andy!!
OK, went back to the article. Maybe I was wrong and it was turpentine, not kerosine. I'm talking now with my sister and we both remember a tiny baby food glass jar, clear liquid with an eye dropper next to it in the back of a cupboard. That had to be turpentine which I know is clear while kerosine, I believe is pink. No wonder everyone thinks I'm crazy when I say kerosine, a petrol product, was given to us. Thank you for correcting me. It was turpentine my mother gave to us.
Carol in the thread below speaks of turpentine & kerosine both being used back in the day... So there you go... Maybe there's still something to what you've been thinking and saying ❤️
Love both posts, cracked me up but in a good way...laughing with, as we've all made this errors in life. I appreciate the feedback from your life experience. Gracious, best your way ❤️
Substack has become my favorite source of information. This is by far my favorite Substack. I was surprised when I became a paid subscriber how cheap it was compared to others.
First I have never tried turpentine, but found out about it about a year ago. I have done many alternative medicines talked about on this Substack. Ivermectin, Fenben, Emeramide, methylene blue. I usually read a book and study the chemical before taking it. I think it is stupid to try anything just because a friend recommended it. Do your own research! That includes what ever the idiots on the TV tell you to do. My favorite Rumble channel with hundreds of videos on alternative medicine is “Sun Fruit Dan.” You will find his Turpentine video by scrolling to his very first videos. Then watch every single video he has put out on Turpentine. I always thought this guy has to be a Vegan, then one video he said, “I am on the “Carnivore Diet” just saying.
I came across Dr. Daniels several years ago. I read that she had this very strange idea that she wanted to teach people how to take care of themselves. Knowledge, real food, simple remedies, and self-sufficiency. What a concept!
Do you have the guts to be beautiful? Great title. I’ve been realizing lately that gut health is directly related to skin health. I definitely could use some help with aging skin. Gut and Liver health are related to everything. Additionally, according to Dr. Magda Havas, EMFs age us quite drastically.
EMFs also increase growth and bad behavior of parasites and fungi. EMFs dehydrate and cause salt-wasting. Rather than guzzling down liters of water every day, it seems nebulizing might be a better way to hydrate. Nebulizing with salt and water hydrates the lungs and nearly immediately goes everywhere. Dehydration is at the root of a lot of issues.
Another tiny, little book on turpentine with more helpful info:
“Turpentine For the Treatment of Candidiasis and Intestinal Parasites” Chander Kant Singh
People can be allergic to turpentine. My reactions have been quite strong. Turpentine cleans out the lungs really fast.
Thanks for this summary! Based on the title, it isn't a book that I would have been likely to pick up otherwise.
I've used turpentine for a few different issues over the years, and Nicholas Corrin had recommended the sugar/turpentine hack a few months ago, but it got lost in the shuffle before I could get started on it. I also read a lot from Kaufmann about turpentine, but don't recall him ever crediting Daniels, or else I likely would have tripped over her book years ago.
Regarding hydration, the standard recommendation of a max of 2.3 grams of salt per day is highly flawed. The average non-athlete human needs 3 to 6 grams per day, probably more for a while after being salt-deprived for decades. Adequate salt will improve bowel motility, by allowing more fluid to be retained by the colon. It also will reduce skin dryness and your body's pH and electrical charge.
The extra water weight might add a pound or two when you step on the scale, but it's unlikely to cause your waste to expand.
Sea salt is best, as the composition is 98% the same as blood plasma. You get all the important electrolytes, plus plenty of trace minerals. I use sea salt tabs, and place them under my tongue for a few minutes before swallowing them. That allows them to dissolve and to start to be broken down by saliva, which should help with bioavailability.
Just reading about miso soup with kombu (seaweed) today, and how it enhances the absorption of CoQ10. Very salty stuff. The Japanese eat far more salty, iodine rich foods than we do in the form of seaweeds, with no ill effects. Sea salt based, unprocessed salt is mostly what I use.
Hi! He did credit Dr. Daniels. Many times during the first 2 years of covid. But then he gained enough experience with turpentine, to not mention her anymore. Also, she stopped producing videos around year 3 of covid. The book that this article is based on is quite old.
It was pretty early on in COVID that I stopped regularly following Kaufmann and Cowan. I was interested enough in seeking out more information on turpentine, that if Kaufmann had mentioned Daniels in anything I read, I would likely have found her book. But it’s also possible that I got distracted and went off on a new tangent before finding her. I know at the time that Kaufmann was pitching some scheme to have people enroll in a paid service that he was offering, or something to that effect. It’s long enough ago that I don’t recall the specific details. I do recall that sharing certain details about the use of turpentine was part of the inducement for subscribing.
I followed Dr. Cowan for years going to the Weston A Price Foundation. He used to write thoughtful articles and interview interesting people. He has interesting insights. I feel like people latched onto his shirt tails to gain public attention and more.
Kauffman is/was a psychiatrist, which counts against him to start with. Now he appears to have attained guru status. Fairly early in the covid con he was on a group interview with Judy Mikovitz where he couldn't wait to ambush her and attack her about the virus issue. She was calmly responding to questions from her perspective as a researcher with what her mentor had taught and what she had observed in her research. He kept badgering her. I thought his attitude and behavior was at the least disrespectful.
While I agree with the no virus stance, they are quite a nasty group of people. They were also malicious toward Poornima Wagh, interviewed by Dr Lee Merritt. Several of them called her and harassed her quite cruelly. Not endearing behavior.
I still admire Dr. Cowan, as he has turned me on to so many incredible status quo-destroying researchers. I just have a hard time listening to hour-long discussions. I greatly enjoyed his books, and I'd much rather have information in written form, where it is easier to cite.
Like a lot of people, Kaufmann paid the price for speaking out during COVID. I understand his need to find a way to earn a living, but I think others have done a better job of doing that without going off on tangents.
The problem with the virus-no virus debate is that the predominant virus side will always want a clean, clear explanation of what causes contagion if viruses don't. And there's such a forest of weeds there it is impossible to do that.
Personally, if enough people are educated on the early use of oxidative therapies (personally and in our food supply), the contagions will be greatly lessened and the issues of which side is right will be moot. If we can deal with the problem safely, cheaply and effectively, who cares if we are ignorant of the exact mechanism?
Indeed, I saw that interview. You could see witnessing Mikovitz that one needed to be a rocket scientist to understand her, completely immersed into her science. Being a psychiatrist, (imo a fake doctor) Kaufman wasn't even near the same stratosphere that Mikovitz was on, and I absolutely believed her, not Kaufman. That's why it took so long for me to even entertain Kaufman. I started to think that's why Kaufman hitched his wagon to Cowan. Alone, he could easily be dismissed, but with Cowan, not so much.
Thank you for remembering Dr Daniel's! She is a wonderful doctor and amazing woman. I found her the first year of covid. She did weekly video from her home in Panama, Healing with Dr Daniels. Her protocol was turpentine and white sugar, shilajit and a traditional diet - meats and organs. She had been vegan in her 30s but lost the ability to get out of bed. Taking turpentine and eating traditional foods like tongue, pigs ear or hoof and brains, were critical for her recovery.
Here are her directions for using turpentine - she calls it a candida cleanser
Here are her videos. She is a healthy and charming old lady. Her use of organ meats and other animal bits and pieces, have given her the strength to take up gymnastics. The videos are from 2020 to 2022, then something happened. She had trouble with internet. Maybe a family issue. The website got updated and she is selling her vitality product but not doing videos like she did.
I have been naughty again. I've wanted to thank you for months. Such topics that regularly blow your readers away, I'm sure. Was it DMSO or another near that time where you mentioned the St Ives pharmacy, and I was thinking to invite you for a coffee to say thank you (I live in Sydney). But, I keep putting it off. I'll try to say this instead: whoever you are, your ability to bolster these fragile hopes of mine with radiant ideas from our past.. I just have to shake my head. This is years of research at our fingertips folks. From all avenues. We're very lucky. Yes, I access the Roses and the Malones, the Barnetts and the Nass', the Pains and the Brighthopes, the Kory's and the MWDs, even the Gatos and the epimetheus', and about a dozen others. And perhaps this is just my passion speaking folks, but taking back the healing is inspiring.
Malone, Nass, McCullough, Cole, Kirsch, even Mercola - a few of those who knowingly misrepresent facts and twist and invert things to keep people confused and following endless trails to nowhere (while they're making money off the lies).
It's one thing to repeat something you've been taught and believe to be true vs knowing you're lying to people who are sincerely trying to find truths and restore their health.
According to people who actually understand some basic facts of biology and genetics, things don't work the way we've been led to believe - such as you can cut genetic matter, but you can't really paste. You can however, poison and electrify...
I wrote a post not to long ago about DMSO and included some information I found from Andreas Kalcker book forbidden Health and I talked about the use of Turpentine and kerosine used in the early 1900’s by poorer countries and even Magellan used kerosene to get rid of worms on the ship when his sailors were ridden with worms. Even a woman couldn’t get any medical help and took a tsp of kerosene with a sugar cube with milk and castor oil. She got rid of her cancer. I’ve been using the DMSO with MSM for pain which is also a solvent extracted from the pine tree I believe. The one thing I’ve taken away from reading these alternative healing agents is that everything you take can be a poison or healing agent it depends on dosage.
I would like to try turpentine because I feel I might have intestinal parasites cuz I crave sugar and breads and I’m chronically constipated. If I didn’t do enemas with CDS I would be miserable. I would like not to depend on them, but nothing seems to work long time. If you have any suggestions feel free. I take Magnesium and I eat lots of leafy vegetables. I stopped taking fiber because I heard adverse information about it.
I don’t have yeast or Candida and my immune system is impeccable I haven’t been sick as in colds , never had the flu. I just have a messed up digestive track.id never be able to cut out the carbs I’d lose too much weight I’m thin 112 lbs can’t afford to cut out my breads. I’m working on the sugar and I know breads turn to sugar. I’m a nutritionist , but don’t follow my own advice. I’m a work in progress and my only faults are the carbs.i exercise, don’t drink or smoke got to have 1 enjoyment.
Yeast overgrowth might be something you'd consider treating. Candida albicans. Grapeseed extract, oil of oregano, apple cider vinegar - fiber, veggies, protein, no starchy veggies, no carbs except from garden greens - no bread, pasta, rice and cut out all added sugars + add probiotics until you notice the change you seek. You could get a kit to do a cleanse from a health store but if you do the above it should really work. Then introduce healthy sugar back into your diet slowly, but whole grains, you need the fiber with the carbs. Yeast feeds on sugar! Fiber IS your friend, from whole foods such as fruit, never drink fruit juice (or rarely) as the sugar requires the fiber from the fruit to be processed as intended by your body. Juice spikes your blood sugar and feeds the candida albicans. I hope this helps ❤️

Correct. Both Dr. Kaufman and Dr. Daniels were trying to generate students/customers. It is difficult to leave the matrix and survive.
I emailed Dr. Daniels back in 2023, after her videos stopped. She never replied. I was quite sad, as I enjoyed her personality and brilliance.
I followed Dr. Cowan for years going to the Weston A Price Foundation. He used to write thoughtful articles and interview interesting people. He has interesting insights. I feel like people latched onto his shirt tails to gain public attention and more.

What do you mean abut oxidative therapies in our food supply?
It would be a means of insuring the safety of the egg supply, for instance. Instead of culling chickens.

Not that it matters, but I did not understand most of your reply to my post. Secondly, I did not agree with much of what I did understand.

TYVM for bringing Dr. Daniels' work to a wider audience!
Oh and I put Celtic salt in my water or Redmonds real salt they are the best. Celtic salt under the tongue. Hydrates you
THANK YOU!!! 👏👏👏
Where do you buy this kind turpentine?
SacredPurity dot com has it.
