individual thought is sadly overpowered by stiffened institutions- well analized by Luc Lelievre

"Stiffened institutions" are a SYMPTOM of the PEOPLE operating the institution.

If we actually stopped focusing on symptoms, ie EFFECTS, and focused on actual CAUSES instead, we might have a chance at making fundamental changes.

So long as we keep trying to fix symptoms and effects, we will forever be IN-EEFFECT-IVE.

It is all too common for government employees to turn against the citizens they were meant to protect. They inadvertently become a self-protecting collective to maintain their budgets and prove their need to exist.

Absolutely true!

S. Nicoletta Rogers's avatar

Agreed. And WHY is that so? WHAT internal psychological/emotional processes are at work turning government employees into such IN-humane people?

HINT:

It is NOT a system or institution... imo... It IS the way we have raised children for too long already, ie with authoritarianism and bullying and punitive "discipline", which isn't discipline at all...

And NOTHING will ever change fundamentally, until we fundamentally change the way we perceive and treat children during their formative years.

I have only read your intro to the essay so far.

You keep writing about systems as if they are conscious entities.

I would argue that a system is only as "conscious" as the PEOPLE who are operating the system.

NONE of our problems are about systems... imo... EXCEPT the Human [system].

Systems, institutions, etc are run by people, who are essentially "damaged", ie full of unresolved childhood trauma/ neglect/ abuse... leading to greed, power-hunger, the perceived need for control.

The real question that needs answering is this... imo...:

HOW and WHY do innocent children grow up to become greedy, power-hungry socio/ psychopaths??

Change how children are perceived and treated during their formative years and EVERYTHING changes!

Hi there, I appreciate your work and especially the deep dives. I have a request for a deep dive- this so called Alfa- gal syndrome. People becoming allergic to red meat and apparently all mammalian by-products. The belief that this condition results from a tick bite is ridiculous to me, and is more likely from a medical injection imo. I know Sasha Latypova shares my opinion and I shall ask her as well. Does Tom Cowen have information on this topic?

I just read an article (sorry can't remember where) about ethics and how there are conversations in biotechnology circles about genetically modified mosquitos being used to infect the population with what causes the meat allergy syndrome. Serious conversations that see it as 'the right thing to do' for climate change. I kid you not...

Luc Lelievre's avatar

I noticed that as well.

We know viruses don’t exist. Jamie Andrews, Tom Cowen, et all. Sasha Latypova has shown that injecting proteins into animals (and people) causes anaphylactic shock (allergic reaction) in a percentage of recipients and sustained allergy to that protein. Yes, certain people want to weaponize everything, but what is actually possible is something else. Poisoning people so they cannot eat meat and blaming it on ticks is evil genius.

Anything but the shots!

Once again, many thanks to Unbekoming!

Wow! Thank you for that deep dive - makes total sense and explains a lot about how the public health system in New Zealand became increasingly rigid and maladaptive to changing conditions during the pandemic. And how Govt departments whose purpose is to protect children (eg. Child Youth and Family in NZ) replicate the abuse they are supposed to protect young people from. No amount of 'restructuring' or 'culture change' has changed that for this organisation.
